In Singapore, local Chinese whose ancestors sail to Singapore from Southern China about a century ago, were speaking different dialects base on their origins and provinces. These dialects were widely used in the early days and are still spoken among older and middle generations today. It has also infused into the way Singaporeans are communicating nowadays, even among our Malay and Indian friends. There are an increasing number of younger and middle generations who feel that they have lost these dialects through the use of mandarin in Singapore. At PrimeTutor.sg, we have a small group of dialects tutor who can help you with it.
